A special thankyou to Gayle Vernon Simkin of Phoenix, Az. for eleven of the photos that folllow and also new information about my great grandfather we never knew before. Her great-great grandmother (Sarah) married my great grandfather, S. Townsend Wamsley in 1890.

Below are pictures of the three Wamsley brothers that served in the Civil War  Henry Janvier Wamsley John Burroughs Wamsley &  S. Townsend Wamsley As they appeared in the Dedication Booklet of May 4th 1912 at Daretown, N.J.

Many of the photos on this page came from Gayle Vernon Simpkin of Phoenix, Az., a family member who offered wonderful information to me on our family, namely my great great grandfather, S. Townsend Wamsley and his post Civil War life and his marriage to her great great grandmother, Sarah A. McDaniel (Smith) Wamsley. This was a very important breakthrough for us.
