General
In Western astrology the twelve starsigns are based on the orbit
of our Earth around the Sun - and have little connection with the stellar
constellations. Aries is seen as the "first" sign of the Zodiac,
as it starts at the exact moment day and night are of equal length - the
Spring equinox. All the other signs are measured from this point. Signs
have no manifest effect in themselves but are activated when planets or
houses are placed in them.

Aries: Key Word: Dynamic action
The sign Aries is ruled by the planet Mars. Physically it is related to the head. It is said to have a masculine nature, and is therefore more penetrative in its energy. Aries is a Fire sign, and this means a planet placed here will have a need to manifest itself in a very dynamic manner, and that the expression of personal identity through action is important. The desire to come first is paramount, and this comes to expression with a naive effervescence and inexperienced innocence. It is a world of knights and princesses. As Aries is also a Cardinal sign, its energy is manifested in dynamic bursts. Short-term goals are important and tangible results are achieved rapidly.
People with a strong emphasis in this sign will have leadership
and pioneer traits, though there is a tendency to impulsiveness and a short
temper. Impatience and egocentricity need to be tempered, and greater awareness
of the needs of others should be developed, if conflict and tension are
to be avoided.

Taurus is also a Fixed sign, and this means that once a course is embarked on, it is rarely deviated from. Maintenance and care of existing conditions over long periods of time, and a reluctance to initiate change, are qualities of this sign.
Taurus is also connected with the resources of Nature, and the
whole issue of value and worth. Therefore it is associated with finance,
worldly goods and security. People with a strong emphasis in this sign
tend to be materialistic, and often get stuck in a rut. By periodically
cutting their strong attachments they can gain greater perspective. There
is a talent for relaxation and enjoyment of sensory pleasures.

at any one time. There is a love of ideas, but no inner need to put them
into practice. Nevertheless this influence confers great mental insight,
though there is often some kind of split in connection with planets placed
in this sign. Planets here manifest considerable versatility and mental
skills in regard to all forms of communication.

occult talents and psychological ability manifest themselves in Scorpio,

***Basic classification of aspects***
Aspects are those certain angles formed between heavenly bodies/points within an orbit (orb) of tolerance + or - of the exact angle. This orb differs for not only different heavenly bodies/points, but for the angles they form between each other. This relationship, can be very important to chart interpretation. Some angles are not considered when formed. Only a select few.
Hard or difficult aspects - Semi-square (45 degrees), Square (90 degrees), Sesquiquadrate (135 degrees), and Opposition (180 degrees). These are the aspects that help us recognize the ingredients in our personality that need changing.
Easy or soft aspects - Trines (120 degrees) and Sextiles (60 degrees). These are the aspects that express our talents and skills.
Growth aspects - Semi-sextiles(30 degrees) and quincunx (150 degrees). These are aspects that give us opportunity to grow. They indicate long term development of some key aspect of your personality and behavior for this life time.
Power aspects - Conjunctions (0 degrees), Parallels (cosmic bodies equidistant either north or south of the celestial equator), and Contra-parallels (cosmic bodies equidistant with one north and the other south of the equator). These are the aspects that show energy, force, reorganization and transformational ability.
NOTE: The Conjunctions: A Conjunction occurs when two planets are in the same immediate area of the Zodiac. The conjunctions in your chart show central linkings of basic energies in your life. When one area (represented by a planet) expresses itself, it brings along the other area (represented by the other planet). When you are studying the rest of the printout of your life, keep in mind that linking of these energies is a central theme in your life and these areas should be studied together.
***Circumstances of the planets by aspect***
Afflicted - A planet is called afflicted when it has only hard (difficult) aspects. These planets represent our greatest challenges and our more promising areas of growth.
Unafflicted - A planet is unafflicted when it is not limited to only hard aspects. This can mean that the planet has no aspects, has only easy aspects, or has both hard and soft aspects.
Well Aspected - A planet is called well aspected when it has no hard aspects. This shows ease of expression and a certain ability to bring the ingredients symbolized forward into life with little or no conflict.
***Special points in your chart***
Ascendant - This is the same as the cusp of the first house. The Ascendant refers to your physical body and how you meet the world, how you present yourself.
Midheaven - This is the same as the cusp of your tenth house. The Midheaven refers to how we rise and fall in life, our social position and our orientation to our family, culture and history.
Moon's North Node - Our direction in life. How we form relationship bonds with the environment as well as people.
